UK's Institute of Travel &
Tourism is joining forces with City & Guilds to organize a new travel
industry conference.
To be
held Thursday, January 12,
2006 at the City & Guilds Centre in Birmingham, the event is specifically
designed for lecturers of travel and tourism. The latest in a string of ITT
initiatives designed to create more integration between the industry and the
education sector, the conference’s goal is to create more integration between
the industry and the education sector.
Subjects
under consideration for the conference debates include work placements,
matching course content to the travel and tourism industry, the impact of
terrorism and ‘acts of God’ on tourism and scholarships from the travel
industry.
