easyJet has opened a new, state-of-the-art training academy at the London Luton Airport. This center for learning and development will be the heart of the airline's recruitment and training as well as development and cultural activities. In addition, easyJet expects customer service and passenger safety to improve significantly since the new academy creates an environment in which easyJet staff can further develop their skills.
The academy houses 25 fully equipped, air-conditioned rooms, including: training and presentation rooms; syndicate, interview and breakout rooms; computer training rooms; learning facilities; equipment demonstration rooms; and a 48-seater cabin simulator incorporating an evacuation slide and external fire trainer.
"This is a historical and momentous occasion for easyJet. The Academy will be used solely for training, learning, development and recruitment activities across the whole business. Once again, easyJet is leading the way in training and development with the opening of this world class facility," says Becky Ivers, Head of Learning and Development.
