In preparation for the fast-approaching 2005 holiday travel season, priceline.com has released its annual Best Days to Fly calendar. The calendar identifies those travel days when consumers can expect to pay the least, and the most, for their airline tickets.
For the Thanksgiving period, Priceline says consumers will save the most money by flying on November 19, 21, 25 and 29. These are the "off-peak" days when airports and the airlines are less crowded. By contrast, travelers can expect to pay the most money for a ticket if they want to fly on November 23 and 27 (the day before Thanksgiving and the Sunday after), which are traditionally the busiest travel days, Priceline reveals.
For the Christmas/Hanukkah period, consumers will save the most money by flying on December 17, 19, 20, 25, 28, 29 and January 3, which are all off-peak days. Priceline says buyers can expect to pay the most money for a ticket on ecember 22, 23, 30 and January 2.
Priceline.com's Best Days to Fly Calendar is available at www.priceline.com and will be updated throughout the holidays.
