Eurostar, the high-speed rail service that links the UK, France and Belgium, has received the “World’s Leading Rail Service” accolade during the 2005 World Travel Awards.
“Eurostar is proud to again be named the ‘World’s Leading Rail Service’ at the World Travel Awards. We are especially pleased, as it is the eighth consecutive year we have received this accolade,” says Paul Charles, Director of Communications, Eurostar. “The award is a fitting recognition of the consistently high standards of customer service Eurostar’s people deliver to business and leisure travelers each day,” Charles enthused.
Now on its twelfth year, the World Travel Awards celebrate excellence and outstanding achievements in the global travel and tourism industry. The award winners are chosen by an online vote and this year, 176,000 travel industry professionals – including 110,000 travel agents – from over 200 countries around the world have cast their votes to select the winners.
