After learning that a number of its regular business guests would be
spending Christmas away from home, serviced apartments provider The Chambers
will be offering a number of homely festive treats. The Chambers has brought in
real Norwegian spruce trees, festive decorations and teddy bears to create a
“home away from home” atmosphere for travelers and business guests at a
newly-created boutique apartment residence in Leeds
this Christmas.
A study commissioned by The Chambers showed that 4 percent of working
British adults would probably be spending Christmas or New Year away from home
on business, while a further 10 percent had done so in the past. Yorkshire
entrepreneur and creator of The Chambers, Christine Boothroyd, said, “The vast majority
of people will be at home with loved ones this Christmas, but inevitably – and
mainly because of work commitments – there will be some people who cannot make
it home. A number of our clients will be staying with us over Christmas and New
Year, so we’re aiming to make their stay, as ever, as homely as possible.”
The research was undertaken by online polling specialist YouGov between
November 4 and 7, 2005 among 2,019 British adults. Results are weighted to be representative
of the GB adult population. The Chambers apartments can be booked via the
