Only once every four years can a woman propose to her man, and with two years remaining until the next February 29, Best Western Hotels GB is offering a "mid-leap year" promotion, Secrets Shhh…, in time for Valentine's Day.
Best Western is hiding a diamond ring at five of its hotels across Great Britain. Couples staying any time between February 10 to 19, 2006, at any of its 300 unique hotels get a chance of finding a ring in their bedrooms. Janine Teasdale, spokesperson for Best Western Hotels, said: "More and more women today are taking the initiative and proposing to their men, spurred on perhaps by high profile proposals they've seen on TV, like Miranda in Sex and the City, or real-life stories like Britney Spears."
"2006 is the midpoint between leap years, so we're creating an unofficial mid-leap year and as Valentine's Day is the most romantic day of the year, we're encouraging females across the land to pluck up the courage to ask the question. We're helping financially by hiding a voucher for a beautiful Secrets Shhh… diamond engagement ring underneath the pillow of five hotels where women have booked a couples' break."
For a chance to win one of five diamond rings, simply call Best Western on 0845 33 00 120 and book a stay in one of the 300 hotels throughout England, Scotland, Wales and the Channel Islands between the 10th and the 19th of February, 2006 inclusive. Callers must quote 'Ring' when they call to be entered into the competition. Bookings must be made between January 5 and February 8, 2006.
