Ryanair has
inaugurated flights from Nottingham East Midlands, its 15th base in Europe. Four new routes were opened, offering connections
to Lodz, Wroclaw, Bergerac and Limoges, bringing the
total number of routes now served to nine. Ryanair says it will commence
services to a further six destinations from East Midlands
at the beginning of April.
“We are delighted
to launch Nottingham East Midlands airport as our 15th European base. We look
forward to delivering 1.2 million passengers over the next year to the region,
sustaining 1,200 jobs in the East Midlands area and allowing the people of the Midlands to enjoy low fare flights,” says Ryanair's Head
of Communications Peter Sherrard.
"Seats on these
new routes are available for immediate booking, with 30,000 free flights
available until midnight of
February 16 on www.ryanair.com. We urge
passengers to book straight away as demand for these free* flights will be huge,”
Sherrard added.
