Ryanair announces new route from Bournemouth to Pisa

Feb 13, 2006

Budget airline Ryanair announced a new route from Bournemouth to Pisa, considered by many as the gateway to Tuscany. The new service starts on June 8 and will operate 3 times weekly on Tuesday, Thursdays & Saturdays. This new route comes in addition to 3 existing Ryanair routes to Dublin, Glasgow and Barcelona, and will result in 40,000 additional passengers at Bournemouth annually.

To celebrate this new route, Ryanair is offering 10,000 seats at a promo rate of £9.99, one way excluding taxes, on all routes from Bournemouth. These seats are already available for booking on at www.ryanair.com.

Announcing this new route in Bournemouth, Ryanair’s Deputy CEO and COO Michael Cawley said, “Over the next year Ryanair will operate 4 routes at Bournemouth, delivering 325,000 passengers and sustaining 325 jobs in the local economy. Passengers from Bournemouth will now be able to enjoy the lowest fares in Europe to explore Pisa, Florence and the Tuscan countryside.”
