Citing strong
market demand, Eurostar is launching a 10th daily weekday service between London and Brussels beginning Monday,
February 13.
Eurostar expressed
confidence that the extra service, in each direction, will provide an even
better timetable for business travelers, as there will be one Eurostar every
hour from Brussels between around 15.00 and
19.00, and then a later service at 20.25, enabling travelers to fit in extra
meetings or join a Eurostar after a later connection from Holland
or Germany.
The extra train
leaving London
will be a non-stop service at 15.40, and arriving Brussels Midi at 19.00. From Brussels, the extra
service will leave at 14.56, stopping at Lille
and Ashford, before arriving at London Waterloo at 16.23.
With 10 trains
each weekday in each direction, Eurostar claims it now has much better
frequency than its competitors, airlines bmi and VLM. All Eurostar tickets also
include free onward travel to any other station in Belgium.
