Thomas Cook publishes new guidebook series

Feb 20, 2006

Thomas Cook has published two series of brand new and unique guidebooks designed to help travelers make the most of their trips – whether city breaks or sun holidays. Both guidebooks are small enough to slip in a pocket but provide all the necessary information to ensure a great trip.

The “City Spots” series includes 10 guides to lesser-known European cities that are within easy reach of the UK for a short break. Titles in the series include Turin, Bilbao, Tallinn, Monte Carlo and Riga. Priced at just £5.99 each, a guide introduces the city, its history and its culture, then recommends highlights to visit with detailed maps of key districts. Ten further City Spots will be published in April 2006, with a further 30 destinations planned for later this year.

The “Hot Spots” series are guides for some of the UK's favorite holiday destinations, including the Egyptian Red Sea resorts, Morocco, Cyprus, Turkey and Malta. There are currently 15 guides in the series, with a further 13 to be released in March. Thomas Cook says the guides provide practical information and suggestions to get more out of a holiday – whether it's sightseeing, eating out or simply getting a better understanding of the local culture.
