Thomas Cook is expecting a rush of cricket fans to its offices and website as it launches a range of official travel and ticket packages for the 2006/7 Ashes Test Series.
According to the tour operator, old cricket fans and those newly converted after last August’s England victory will have the chance to buy tickets and travel packages for the big Ashes rematch from a high street near them. Starting from £2,121 per person, packages include return flights to Australia, accommodation, airport transfers and guaranteed official match tickets. All stays are for a minimum of eight nights with a choice of packages available to every test match, with Thomas Cook making all the arrangements.
Thomas Cook is also offering the option to extend stays and enjoy a holiday within Australia at the end of the match. A special 19-night stay, combining the fourth and fifth tests in Melbourne and Sydney as well as the 20/20 international in Sydney with accommodation for Christmas and New Year, costs from £3,563 per person.
