All-business-class airline MAXjet
Airways has rescheduled its projected maiden voyage from Washington’s
Dulles InternationalAirport to London’s
Stansted Airport from March 15 to April 3. MAXjet
says its service will now operate on an increased schedule of five weekly
departures instead of four as previously announced.
Roundtrip fares from Dulles
start at just $1750, with an introductory $999 fare extended for tickets purchased
by April 3. The service from Washington to London will operate every Sunday,
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. The flight departs Dulles at 7:30 p.m., arriving Stansted at 8:30 a.m. the next day. The return
flight from London, which commences April 4,
will depart London at 1:00 p.m. arriving Washington at 4:30 p.m. the same day.
According to MAXjet CEO Gary
Rogliano, the extended departure date is attributed to finalizing servicing and
outfitting of the new aircraft. The aircraft will feature enhanced cabin and
seating amenities, and cabin improvements will be retrofitted to MAXjet’s New York service in
April 2006.
