free-hotspot.com has rolled
out a phone-based service that allows Europeans to find free hot spots located
in their vicinity. According to the website, callers throughout Europe can reach a live attendant who will provide them
with the location and contact information of the nearest free hot spot in
English, German, French, Italian and Spanish.
“Now people can easily find a
nearby bar, cafe, restaurant, hotel or other facility that offers free wireless
Internet access,” said Joe Brunoli, Vice President, HotSpot Market Development
for free-hotspot.com. “Tourists, business travellers and others can instantly
locate the nearest free hot spot even while they are on the move,” Brunoli
added.
The international HotSpot
locator number is 00800 28 25 23 26 and is free from anywhere in Europe where such calls are permitted. In the United Kingdom,
there may be a charge for calls made from a mobile phone and from some pay
phones. To use the service, free-hotspot.com says callers should select the
appropriate language and then choose Option 1 from the Main Menu.
