The number of international
passengers flying out of Aberdeen is set to
increase following bmi’s launch of a new direct regional route to Amsterdam. This new
service departs for Amsterdam
three times daily Monday to Friday, once on Saturday and twice on Sundays.
Operated by bmi regional's
all jet fleet of Embraer aircraft, the flight schedule is expected to meet the
needs of Aberdeen's growing numbers of business
passengers and is designed to allow for a full working day in Holland's capital.
“Amsterdam is a popular business and leisure
destination. As the national, financial and cultural capital of the Netherlands,
it's also an important international gateway for the North East of Scotland,”
says Crawford Rix, Managing Director of bmi regional. “We remain firmly
committed to expanding our flight offering from Aberdeen, our home airport, and
I'm confident that that our new service will not only be welcomed by the
discerning business traveler, but by all travelers from and visitors to
Scotland's North East who have a strong desire for quality and choice,” he
added.
