Jet2.com has
started offering flights to Rome
and Milan with
prices from £21 including taxes. In addition, services to Venice are expected to get underway after the
winter break.
The airline, which
now offers UK residents four city destinations to fly to in Italy, will carry its
first passengers from both Leeds Bradford and Manchester Airports to Rome and
from Leeds Bradford to Venice, Rome and Milan. In addition, an inaugural
service for Pisa (Florence)
is scheduled to leave from Manchester and
Newcastle International on the 25th of May and from Leeds Bradford,
Belfast International and Edinburgh
Airport on the 27th.
“We are absolutely
delighted to be launching so many new services to Italy this week, offering more
people the chance to explore this beautiful country, which is steeped in
culture, history and art. We also extend our warmest welcome to all our
passengers from Manchester to Rome, who had been left bereft of a direct
service to the ‘Eternal City’ since BA axed the route last November,” says
