Jet2.com announced
that it will become the first airline to offer flights to Amsterdam from Blackpool,
with fares to be available from just 99p one way, exclusive of taxes. The
airline also announced flights would take-off to Faro, Portugal
from £19.99 exclusive of taxes, with both routes commencing on 29th October
this year.
Jet2 says the city
of Amsterdam
will be so popular with travelers from the Blackpool
region that it is launching the route with an initial five flights per week to
the Dutch capital to ensure that both business and leisure passengers can make
use of the new service.
The timings of the
flights have also been planned to coincide with the many onward worldwide
connections available from Amsterdam Schiphol
Airport. Flights to the winter sun haven of Portugal will depart three times a
week offering both holiday and short break options.
Jet2.com has opened
up sales on its website, www.jet2.com. “I’m delighted to be offering two new
routes from Blackpool to the amazing and
buzzing city of Amsterdam
and the golf haven of Faro. Launching our latest new route today shows that we
are looking to play a major part in bringing inward investment to the region
and firmly put Blackpool
Airport on the map,” said
