The number of bmi
passengers flying out of Heathrow is expected to increase following the airline’s
launch of additional services to India. Following the successful
launch of this long-haul route in May last year, bmi is increasing its four
times weekly direct service to Mumbai to daily.
The airline
expects the additional services to add more flexibility and choice for
passengers traveling to Mumbai and those connecting for travel to onward points
in the sub continent. Nigel Turner, bmi chief executive officer commented: "Just
one year ago, the Mumbai route entered the bmi history books by becoming our
first ever long haul route from London Heathrow and we have been thoroughly
encouraged by this very positive start. Our service has been warmly welcomed by
the discerning traveler who has a strong desire for quality and choice.
Flights are
operated by a bmi A330 aircraft, featuring the UK airline’s award winning, three-class
cabin product.
