United introduces second daily Heathrow-LA service

United Airlines has updated its summer timetable for 2006 with a new second daily service from London Heathrow to Los Angeles. With this latest move, United will be offering 182 non-stop services per week from cities across Europe, including London Heathrow, Frankfurt, Paris, Amsterdam, Brussels, Munich and Zurich.

The timetable also includes an additional non-stop daily service between LondonHeathrow Airport and Los Angeles International Airport effective June 9, 2006. In total, United will be offering 28 non-stop services from London Heathrow to California each week.

UA 939 will depart London Heathrow at 1:25 p.m., arriving in Los Angeles at 5:03 p.m. the same day. The return flight, UA 948, will depart Los Angeles at 13:02 p.m. and arrives at London Heathrow at 7:40 a.m. the following day. The summer schedule for London Heathrow also includes:

  • Twice-daily to San Francisco
  • Three daily to Chicago
  • Four daily to Washington DC
  • Daily service to New York
