Ryanair’s Check’N’Go
facility has been reintroduced on the Cork–Dublin route following SIPTU’s agreement
to stop blocking the service and allow passengers to travel without hindrance
between Dublin
and Cork.
“Ryanair is
delighted to introduce its web check-in service on the Dublin
to Cork route.
This service will reduce queues at both check-in and boarding gates,” said Peter
Sherrard, Ryanair’s Head of Communications.
The budget airline
says passengers traveling with hand luggage in possession of an EU passport can
now check-in online at www.ryanair.com between
72 and 4 hours prior to departure time. “We have written to the Department of
Transport and are now awaiting the go-ahead to introduce web check-in on all
Irish routes. Web check-in has reduced queues for passengers all over Europe since we introduced the service over most of Europe last March, and we anticipate that the Government
will soon allow all Irish passengers to avail of this time-saving,
queue-cutting service,” Sherrard added.
